The project AQUAECO is dedicated to creating climate-resilient livelihood opportunities for small and marginal farmers through aquatic food production systems. The project targets farmers, fisherfolks, women, and youth across three distinct geographic regions: flood zones (Purnia, Bihar), drylands (Tikamgarh and Niwari, Bundelkhand region, MP), and coastal areas (coastal Maharashtra and Karnataka). These locations have been chosen based on their unique geographical features, including inland water bodies, lowlands, and marine resources, which offer abundant opportunities for livelihood activities. The primary objective is to ensure the economic resilience of small and marginal farmers by harnessing the potential of aquatic food production systems tailored to each region's specific needs.
